ABOUT US
Oasis Development and Learning Center is a Keystone Stars 4 licensed early childhood education (ECE) facility providing care for 6-week-old infants to 5 years old (pre-K).
We’re located in the heart of Olney, Philadelphia.
We also offer before and after care, as well as a summer camp for kindergarten to 12 years old.

Quality Education Meets Innovative Ways
Creative Curriculum
Our structured academic program, Creative Curriculum, is based on age, the ability of the child and the requirements of the Department of Human Services. We also highlight a number, letter, shape and color each week.
Classroom Development Categories
We focus on learning, exploring, movement, builders, literacy and growing, including:

Exercise and Outdoor Play
Each student is also given ample opportunities to exercise either in our outdoor play area (including green space), gym or within each classroom.
GOLD Assessment
Through GOLD, our teachers are trained and equipped with education strategies for weekly lesson planning and formative assessments. This organic approach helps us understand individual needs founded on developmentally appropriate milestones.
Early Childhood Classrooms Include:

MEET OUR TEAM
Olivia Fluegel, Director
Hello! My name is Olivia Fluegel, Director at Oasis Development & Learning Center. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, I moved to New York at 21, working as a live-in nanny for 11 years. I always found myself working with children, whether babysitting, in my church or childcare centers. In addition to over 15 years of childcare experience, I have a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies, focusing on early childhood education and business.
I moved to Philadelphia in 2020, becoming Acting Director and eventually Director of Oasis. In two years, I’ve advanced the center from a Stars 1 to a Stars 4 facility. At Oasis, I continually aspire to create an atmosphere where every child, family and staff member feels loved, encouraged and supported. High-quality education is for everybody, and as the Director, I make it my goal to ensure every child who enters our centers receives just that.

FACILITY SECURITY
Safety is our top priority at Oasis! We have security cameras in each classroom and around the outside perimeter of the building. Our main doors operate on a lock system, and each person is rung in on our video system.

We’re equipped for special needs children. We allow therapists, including speech, behavior and occupational, as well as special instructors, access per need and requirement.
